Sun Chemical is increasing prices for its global pigments portfolio. The price hike will take effect on January 1, 2025, and will impact certain parts of the company’s pigment portfolio.

The decision to raise prices comes as a result of the rising costs of raw materials and production. Sun Chemical has also been working to comply with sustainability regulations, which has further driven up production expenses. The company says that these factors have made the price increase necessary.

“While this price adjustment is essential to continue delivering innovative and reliable products in a challenging economic environment, Sun Chemical understands the impact of these changes on our customers,” said Brian Panczyk, President of Color Materials at Sun Chemical. “We will monitor these changing industry costs and work to limit further increases while continuing to maintain the highest quality and service standards for our customers.”

Sun Chemical will be communicating the specific price increases directly with its customers. The company is also encouraging customers with questions to reach out to their local Sun Chemical sales representative.

Sun Chemical produces packaging and graphic solutions, color and display technologies and other products. The company is a member of the DIC Group and is headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey.
