The American Coatings Association (ACA) has announced that Andrea Wagner Watts will be the keynote speaker at the 2025 CoatingsTech Conference. The event is scheduled to take place from April 28-30 at the Omni William Penn in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Watts, who currently serves as the building science education manager at GAF, will deliver a keynote address titled “Future-proofing Buildings: Pushing the Envelope Toward a More Resilient Future.” Her presentation will align with the conference’s overall theme of “Coatings and Technologies for a Resilient Future.”
In her role at GAF, Watts is responsible for providing guidance, technical support and education for roof and wall assemblies. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry and is known for her work in improving the performance of building enclosures. Watts also holds multiple patents and has published extensively on topics related to building science, assembly interfaces, durability and resilience.
In addition to her work at GAF, Watts is actively involved in several industry organizations. She currently serves as the first vice chair of the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) and co-chairs the organization’s Technical Committee. Watts also chairs the ASTM International’s E06 Task Group on air barrier systems and the ASTM D08 Task Group on Roof Air Barriers.
The 2025 CoatingsTech Conference will bring together industry professionals to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the coatings sector. The event will feature a variety of technical sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
