During its 2024 Annual Meeting, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) announced the graduating class of its 2024 Emerging Leaders Program. This year marks 10 years of successfully preparing future leaders of the chemical distribution industry. Over the past decade, the program has empowered hundreds of professionals to develop critical leadership skills, build dynamic professional networks and embrace the core values of responsibility and innovation.
The most recent Emerging Leaders cohort spent two years honing skills needed to step into advanced leadership roles within their organizations. ACD’s program combines standard leadership and management training with industry-specific knowledge and opportunities to form connections within the chemical distribution field. Participants include employees who currently lead or influence others, manage teams, or have been identified for advancement by senior leadership.
The 2024 Emerging Leaders graduating class was recognized at ACD’s Annual Meeting in La Quinta, California.
“I’m thrilled to have completed ACD’s Emerging Leaders Program and I want to extend my deepest thanks to the entire ACD team for their dedication to developing the next generation of leaders in the chemical distribution industry,” said Thiago Cavalcanti, MBA, outbound supply chain manager at GreenChem Industries LLC. “This program has been an invaluable experience, offering me the chance to learn from industry experts, collaborate with talented peers and gain insights into the future of our field. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained will undoubtedly guide my career as I continue to grow and contribute to this incredible industry.”
“This year’s Emerging Leaders class represents some of the top talent in our industry,” said Lucinda Schofer, chief operating officer of ACD. “ACD takes pride in the Emerging Leaders Program and the role it plays in helping up-and-coming leaders reach their full potential. Over the past two years, these highly motivated professionals have advanced their critical thinking and communication skills, advocacy tactics, industry insights and more. We are excited to see them share these skills with their organizations and shape the future of the chemical distribution industry.”
