PPG announced several leadership appointments and changes within its industrial coatings division, effective December 1, 2024, and January 1, 2025.

Effective December 1, 2024, Tom Maziarz, currently vice president of automotive refinish, Americas, will become vice president of traffic solutions. He will report to Amy Ericson, senior vice president of protective and marine coatings. Maziarz succeeds Ed Baiden, who is pursuing opportunities outside of PPG.

Effective January 1, 2025, Rodolfo Ramirez, currently vice president of packaging coatings, will assume the role of vice president of automotive refinish, Americas. He will report to Chancey Hagerty, senior vice president of automotive refinish.

Also effective January 1, 2025, Denise Lu, currently general manager of industrial coatings, Asia Pacific, will become vice president of packaging coatings. She will report to Alisha Bellezza, senior vice president of automotive coatings. Leadership for Lu’s current role will be announced separately.

In the industrial coatings division, effective January 1, 2025, Juliane Hefel, currently vice president of specialty coatings and materials (SCM), has been appointed senior vice president of industrial coatings, in addition to her current responsibilities. Hefel will report to Tim Knavish, PPG chairman and CEO, and will join PPG’s operating committee. She succeeds Irene Tasi, who will become senior vice president and chief transformation officer, continuing to report to Knavish and remaining on the operating committee.

Additionally, effective January 1, 2025, Xiaobing Nie, currently vice president of industrial coatings, China and global consumer products, and president of PPG Asia Pacific, will expand her industrial coatings leadership to include all of Asia Pacific. She will remain based in Shanghai and report to Hefel.

PPG operates in more than 70 countries and reported net sales of $18.2 billion in 2023.
