Micro Powders will showcase several new products at the 2024 Coating Trends & Technologies Summit (CTT, September 4-6) with an emphasis on natural ingredients and PFAS-free technology.
MicroTex® 580 is a 100% natural, biobased texturing additive for powder coatings that adds a uniform, sandpaper-like texture in matte powder coating chemistry based on a combination of polyester and acrylic. Various other texturing effects can be achieved with different powder coating chemistries.
Recent data will be available on biobased NatureMatte® C44, a 100% natural top performing mattifier. This unique additive delivers impressive results at suggested use levels with almost no effect on rheology, compared to commonly used thermal silica.
The latest additions to the nanocomposite wax portfolio will also be on display. Superslip 6515AL-EZ is a powerful PTFE replacement option that is surface treated for ease of use. MP-28AL is a value engineered composite of biodegradable synthetic wax and aluminum oxide that provides lubricity with rub, scratch, and abrasion resistance.
Visit Booth 1 to learn about the effects of regulations against PTFE materials and to receive reformulating assistance with PTFE-free additives from our experts. And join Micro Powders Vice President, Richard Czarnecki and a panel of speakers on the morning of day two (9/5, 8:40-9:40 AM in Junior B) to discuss Navigating Materials of Concern in the Coatings Industry.
