Founded in 1993 in São Paulo, Cetec began its activities with just one employee, the founder himself, Eduardo Cernic. In 1994, the company launched Tecplus, its first electrostatic powder painting applicator model – it remains in the portfolio in an updated version. The company celebrates 31 years in business this July.

"The first export took place in 1998, with equipment sent to Argentina and, subsequently, Cuba, Peru, Chile, Mexico and Colombia", recalls Cernic. The evolution continued in 2001 with the opening of the machining sector and, in 2003, with the addition of the boiler department and obtaining ISO-9001:2000 certification. "Three years later, we became the official and exclusive importers of Titan airless painting products in Brazil," says the founder of Cetec. A technique that does not use compressed air to atomize the paint, airless painting is more efficient, versatile, and sustainable. The expansion led to a change of headquarters in 2005. In 2008, Cetec acquired Cognitio, a company specializing in courses and training, strengthening its operations in the technical training market. In 2013, it incorporated airless products from the European Exel Kremlin Rexson & Sames into its portfolio and further diversified the solutions offered.  "We then invested in our airless line, with the launch of the SM-10 and SM-10 Plus models", notes Cernic. Subsequently, Cetec presented the Tecnile, Bikeline, and Minilline models for road demarcation. In 2018, the partnership with ARO made it possible to introduce double diaphragm pumps for painting and fluid transfer using North American technology into the Brazilian market. Cetec then entered the professional painting segment of small parts with the launch of MicroPainting.

Electrostatic Powder Painting

The move to the new factory in Barueri in 2021, with more than 3,000 m², and the diversification of the portfolio with booths for liquid painting and greenhouses in 2022 further consolidated the company's presence in the industrial painting market, with emphasis on powder electrostatics – a technology widely used in various industrial sectors, such as in the manufacture of furniture, automobiles, household appliances, and electronic equipment.

Today, in addition to manufacturing equipment for manual and automatic electrostatic powder painting lines, such as reciprocators, oscillators, paint recovery centers, guns, and accessories, Cetec develops customized painting booths.

"We have also always been committed to sustainability. So much so that we hold the Eureciclo seal and implement several environmentally friendly practices in our operations", concludes the founder of Cetec.
