Sheboygan Paint Company has announced that Cynthia Baricos will be its Vice President of Operations. Previously the company’s Vice President of Research & Development, Baricos offers deep experience with Sheboygan Paint Company’s chemistries, manufacturing processes, data-driven decision making, and Lean Six Sigma process improvement. In her new role, Baricos will oversee both the laboratory and manufacturing functions, with a goal of supporting continuous improvement and delivering top-quality industrial coating solutions to customers.
A key member of the company’s executive leadership team, Baricos partners with the board of advisors to ensure Sheboygan Paint Company realizes its vision to become the best-known family-owned industrial coatings company in the U.S. Since joining the company in 2021, Baricos has led the R&D team to reduce quality control cycle time, increase new technology revenues and identify customer-focused solutions to nationwide raw material shortages. She led Sheboygan Paint Company in earning its first-ever patent in 100 years, for a catalyst that makes environmentally friendly paint more widely accessible.
Baricos has more than 20 years of experience at industry leaders such as Dow Chemical, Valspar, and Sherwin Williams. She is an expert in industrial microbiology, building envelope science, rheology, spectroscopy, and data analytics & sequential experimentation. She holds multiple patents, is a Black Belt in Design for Six Sigma, a Green Belt in DMAIC for Six Sigma, and is certified in Project Management and Business Analytics from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Bradley University and expects to complete her Executive MBA from Marquette University in 2024.
