Teckrez Inc. announced today that Mike Husain has joined the tackifier resin and acrylic monomer company as Operations Director.

Husain holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He brings a wealth of chemical industry operational expertise, including 10 years of manufacturing experience in refineries, cogeneration, and chemical reactors. He has led engineering design and started Greenfield chemical plants and served as a board member and chemical operations manager of a joint venture.

For the past 15 years, Husain has served the industry in executive leadership roles. As a leader at the Arizona Chemical (now Kraton) adhesive business, he managed new product development, market strategy and financial performance, supply chain efficiency, and product quality improvements.

He added supply chain skills with Colonial Chemical Solutions, leading its logistics, storage, packaging, and delivery of 300 chemicals, including procurement and application expertise in tackifiers, antioxidants, and reactive monomers.

While developing a new service business segment at Colonial, he worked with Teckrez as a service supplier and will use that knowledge to contribute to upgrades in supply security.
