On June 27, 2023, Renier Vree, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nouryon, unexpectedly passed away. Vree was there at the creation of Nouryon and played an instrumental role in shaping Nouryon to become a global specialty chemicals leader. He joined the company in 2018 from Arcadis, a publicly listed global design, engineering and management consulting company. At Arcadis, he served as Chief Financial Officer for eight years and as a member of the Board of Management, as well as interim CEO for six months. Renier was a member of the board of directors of Nobian and Chairman of the Committee of the “Future Role of the CFO” at the Association of Register Controllers (VRC) in the Netherlands.

Effective immediately, and until completion of a formal search, Sander Bovee, Vice President Control and Treasury, will lead an interim “Office of the CFO” and will oversee all Finance activities. Sander has been with the company for over 25 years and has held several corporate and business leadership roles across Asia, United States, and Europe.
