Sun Chemical’s Joe Rosati, manager, Project Quality in the company’s Color Materials division, has received a 2022 Pioneer award from the Metropolitan New York Coatings Association (MNYCA). The award recognizes an individual MNYCA member or employee of a member company for 25, 40, and 50 years of contributions to the advancement of the protective coatings industry. The Pioneer award honors Rosati’s 40+ years of service, and was presented to him during a ceremony held in December, 2022.

Since joining Sun Chemical in 2000, Rosati has held several leadership positions in quality, manufacturing, and technical service organizations. He led the Color Materials division’s technical service group from 2017 until November 2022, when he was appointed manager, Project Quality, Color Materials. He has made numerous technical contributions in the fields of automotive, architectural, and general industrial coatings.

“Joe is an excellent candidate for the Pioneer award,” said Aaron Hollman, vice president of Sales, Color Materials, Sun Chemical. “He has worked tirelessly to advance the protective coatings industry and made significant contributions in areas, such as R&D, quality control, technical support, and customer service at Sun Chemical. He is more than deserving of the honor.”
