WASHINGTON — The World Coatings Council announced that the Malaysian Paint Manufacturers’ Association (MPMA) has joined the organization. MPMA is a non-profit body representing Malaysian manufacturers and suppliers of the paint and coatings industry, with 40 years of experience as an advocate and resource for its members at the government level and in the marketplace.
“We are excited to embrace MPMA as our newest member, and to expand the World Coatings Council’s international representation,” said World Coatings Council President Tom Bowtell, who also serves as CEO of the British Coatings Federation. “MPMA’s participation in the World Coatings Council will undoubtedly strengthen our global voice for industry and our common goals.”
The World Coatings Council is comprised of members representing associations from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, EU, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States. The Secretariat position is currently served by the American Coatings Association (ACA).
