PARIS-LA DÉFENSE, France – Specialty chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan has named Yann Lissillour as the company’s new CEO. Lissillour joined the company in 2000 and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer. 

Martial Lecat and Philippe Combette, who joined Safic-Alcan in June and October 1988 respectively, ended their positions within the Safic-Alcan Executive Committee on April 1, 2022. At the same time, Combette, Chairman of Safic-Alcan, handed over the presidency of the group to Lissillour.

Lecat and Combette oversaw the growth of Safic-Alcan as the company diversified its distribution markets and experienced both organic and external growth. Lecat will continue to chair the group's Supervisory Board and Combette will also be a member of the Supervisory Board.

Lissillour has held various commercial and managerial positions during his career within the group. He has been in charge of acquisitions since 2016 and was appointed COO last November. “I am very proud to be taking over the leadership of Safic Alcan. With my colleagues on the Executive Committee, and the presence of Martial and Philippe on the Supervisory Board, we will continue the exceptional human and entrepreneurial adventure that is Safic-Alcan.
