CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Coatings Society announced that abstracts for podium and poster presentations are now being accepted for the 65th Annual Sink or Swim Technical Symposium. The symposium will take place June 7-8, 2022.
The theme for the symposium is “Advances in Coatings Technology for a Challenging New World: Formulations, Raw Materials, and Regulatory Considerations.” The coatings world has changed over the past few years. Supply chain disruptions, leading to shortages of critical raw materials, and the continued pressure to address old and new regulatory and environmental concerns have made formulating paints and coatings extremely challenging. The industry has always responded to these challenges and continues to do so. Industry professionals are encouraged to submit presentation abstracts that offer solutions to these problems. Suggested topics include: novel technologies and formulation ideas; polymer, resin and pigment utilization; product stewardship and regulator affairs; green sustainable technologies; additives; architectural, industrial and automotive coatings concerns; ultra-low VOC technologies; analysis and characterization of paint films; improved corrosion resistance; and new technologies for waterborne and higher solids coatings. The deadline for submissions is March 18, 2022.
The time allotted for each presentation is 25 minutes plus five minutes for Q&A. The most outstanding speaker will receive a cash award. Submit completed CFP registration to SOS.CallForPapers@Gmail.com. The program is expected to be finalized by May 1, 2022.
