YPSILANTI, MI — The Coating Research Institute of Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is offering the Spring 2022 short courses during April to June 2022. This year’s short courses are: "Color Technology" (in-person), April 27-28, 2022; "Basics of Paints and Coatings, Applications" (virtual), May 10-13, 2022; "Principles and Practices of Coatings Formulations" (virtual), May 17-20, 2022; "Waterborne Coatings: Technology, Formulation, and Applications" (virtual), June 7-10, 2022; and "Fundamentals of Resins & Polymers for Paints and Coatings" (virtual), June 14-17, 2022.
These professional development short courses cover a variety of topics of practical importance. They are popular among personnel from the paint and coatings and related industries. Except for the "Color Technology" short course, all other courses are delivered virtually. The synchronous virtual format is highly interactive that will enhance learning from work or home. Depending on the topics, these short courses are beneficial to new entrants to the industry for learning the basics, as well as to the experienced professionals in brushing up basic principles and catching up with new technologies or developments. These short courses cover all major contemporary technologies such as waterborne, solventborne, and high-solid coatings and resins.
