LONDON — Active Communications International Inc. (ACI) recently announced that the “Biobased Coatings Online Series” is returning for its 6th Edition on Feb. 15, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. GMT. The event will feature Wallace Kesler of Dunn-Edwards.
Kesler will present an “Overview of Biobased Coatings in the United States,” which will be followed by a face-to-face Q&A session, then free networking that closely mimics that of real-life events. These virtual events run alongside that of the physical events, increasing the networking opportunities available to potential attendees.
Kesler believes that the present outlook for bio-based coatings is very different in the United States compared to the European Union. Lacking a unified approach, the U.S. market for these products is just emerging and slowly building momentum. This presentation will provide an overview of the status of bio-based coatings in the U.S. market. Topics to be covered include drivers for product demand, promising polymer technologies, and projected market size. Emphasis will be placed on the industrial and architectural coatings markets, where most of the U.S. commercial activity in bio-based coatings is occurring. The future of bio-based coatings in the United States will be discussed and “what if” scenarios explored.
