LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL — The Chemical Coaters Association International Finishing Education Foundation (CCAIFEF) is now accepting applications for the 2022 Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program. Over the past several years, the program has awarded more than $100,000 to students who are currently enrolled in programs that could lead to a career in the finishing industry.

The scholarship program, which honors the first executive director of the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI), is designed to attract new talent to the industrial finishing and surface coating technologies industry. “The number of applications received is increasing each year and the candidate pool is impressive,” said CCAIFEF Executive Director, Sheila LaMothe. “Many applicants are already involved in the finishing industry through co-ops and internships. We are excited about the potential the applicants bring to our industry,” she added.

The CCAI Finishing Education Foundation board of directors will review qualified candidate applications. Award amounts vary, are determined by the board of directors, and are sent directly to the recipient’s academic institution. Scholarship recipients also receive a free one-year CCAI student membership.
