LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany – BASF recently announced that the company is increasing prices for its additives for the paint and coatings industry globally. The price increase became effective Dec. 1, or as existing contracts allow. Products such as the Attagel^®, Dispex^®, Efka^®, Foamaster^®, FoamStar^®, Hydropalat^®, Irgafos^®, Irganox^®, Loxanol^®, Rheovis^®, Sterocoll^®, Tinuvin^® and Uvinul^® grades are included in the price increase.

BASF reports that the price increases of up to 35% are needed to compensate for surging raw material, transportation and energy costs, as well as other rising costs, including labor, packaging and maintenance. The increases are necessary to continue to support customers with high-level products and services.
