HOUSTON – Due to supply and demand, OQ Chemicals recently announced the company will increase prices for carboxylic acids and esters effective Sept. 1, 2021, or as contracts allow.

2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase €335/mt in Europe, $0.18/lb in the United States, and $400/mt in the rest of the world.

2-methylbutyric acid will increase €165/mt in Europe, $0.09/lb in the United States, and $200/mt in the rest of the world. Isobutyric acid and n-butyric acid will increase €85/mt in Europe, $0.05/lb in the United States, and $100/mt in the rest of the world.

Isononanoic acid, isopentanoic acid and isovaleric acid will increase €125/mt in Europe, $0.07/lb in the United States, and $150/mt in the rest of the world. 

Pelargonic acid, n-valeric acid and n-heptanoic acid will increase €125/mt in Europe, $0.07/lb in the United States, and $150/mt in the rest of the world.

OXSOFT 3G8 and OXFILM 351 will increase €335/mt in Europe, $0.18/lb in the United States, and $400/mt in the rest of the world, while OXLUBE L9-TMP will increase €250/mt in Europe, $0.14/lb in the United States, and $300/mt in the rest of the world.
