COVENTRY, UK — The British Coatings Federation (BCF) recently announced the shortlisted entries for its 2021 Awards. Despite a difficult year for many, BCF received a large number of high-quality award entries. The winners will be announced at the BCF Awards dinner on October 14 in Manchester, UK.
Companies on the Sustainable Innovation Award shortlist include PPG Automotive Refinish – Moonwalk, BYK-Gardner – Spectro2profiler, and BASF – Agilis. Companies shortlisted for the Customer Service Award include Sun Chemical and AkzoNobel – Dulux Decorator Centre. Shortlisted for the Young Leader of the Year Award are Cameron Starkey, IPL; Steve Coppin, U-POL; Natasha Ram, PPG Architectural Coatings; and Natalie Hood, Jotun Paints Europe. Companies on the Corporate Social Responsibility Award shortlist are PPG Architectural Coatings, AkzoNobel and HMG. Companies shortlisted for the Excellence in Training Award are U-POL, Jotun Paints Europe and Dulux Academy. The Marketing Campaign of the Year Award shortlist includes AkzoNobel – Dulux Decorator Centre, PPG – Leyland Trade Smart, and BASF – Glasurit. Individuals included on the Apprentice of the Year Award shortlist are Daniel Bower, Rakem Group; Nathan Eckersley, HMG; Josh Taylor, HMG; and George O-Reilly, IPL. PPG Architectural Coatings, Jotun Paints Europe, and UL are on the shortlist for the Diversity and Inclusion Award. The shortlisted companies for both Coatings Care Awards, and those shortlisted for the Student of the Year Award will be announced in September.
