AVON, OH — Specialty chemicals distributor Barentz recently welcomed Mercedes (Meche) Leon Javier as a new Account Manager – CASE & Plastics, covering Texas and Louisiana.

Mercedes is an accomplished commercial professional and has worked for more than 20 years in the industrial chemical field in the United States and Mexico. She has spent many years in senior positions developing and implementing global strategies for oil and lubricant additives for the oil and gas markets, as well as sales positions covering silica, coatings and adhesive resins, reactive sealants, coatings and binders, and methacrylate monomers. Mercedes holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
