ASHTABULA, OH - Chromaflo Technologies, Ashtabula, Ohio, has hired Smita Shelar as Innovation and Technology Team Leader. Shelar will be responsible for systematically improving existing product performance, developing and launching new innovative technologies, and driving Chromaflo’s alternate raw materials (ARM’s) program. Through the creation of technical reports, Shelar will provide technical support to both internal and external customers.

Shelar brings to her new role a unique combination of skills and experiences in lab management. While at FP Pigments, she was integral in introducing a new product to the market and facilitating the understanding of its value through trials, customer visits and benefits.

“Thanks to our recent growth, we decided it was the right time to add more support to our innovation and technology department,” said Dr. Brij Mohal, Vice President, Innovation and Technology. “Smita’s unique experience in lab management and product development made her the ideal candidate for the position. We’re excited to see her leadership in the coming months.”

Shelar was most recently the Technical Sales Manager at FP pigments. Prior to that role, she served as Assistant Technical Service Manager at Dow Chemicals, where she was responsible for managing the lab, developing test procedures and conducting root cause analysis activities.
