HATTIESBURG, MS — Abstract submission for the 48th Annual International Waterborne, High-Solids, and Powder Coatings Symposium is now open. The symposium is scheduled to take place Feb. 10-12, 2021, with short courses scheduled Feb. 7-9 and a technology showcase Feb. 9-11. Due to uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, symposium organizers are considering several options for the 2021 symposium, including potentially changing the location or holding a virtual or hybrid event. Updates will be provided as these plans are solidified. Abstract submissions are due Monday, Nov. 16, 2020.
Symposium organizers are inviting papers pertaining to new and emerging technologies related to materials, processes, production, characterization, application and markets in the field of surface coatings. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to, waterborne, high solids, nano (structure or technology, emulsion, additives, corrosion, UV, pigments, powder coatings, and general session, which includes all over coatings related topics.
Papers will be selected based on the submitted abstracts. All speakers must submit a paper for publication in the annual proceedings book. Papers principally commercial in nature will not be accepted. Papers must be original and represent recent advancements in coatings science or related disciplines.
