Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine has introduced rapid curing technology to significantly reduce the application time and labor costs for structural steel protection.
With comparable color and gloss retention to a polyurethane topcoat, the Sherwin-Williams Envirolastic® 2500 system can be applied as a single or multi-coat system, resulting in faster shop throughput when compared to a traditional two-pack coating system.
“The Envirolastic 2500 system combines the best properties of a two-coat or three-coat protection system for steelwork, while taking production throughput to the next level,” said Alex Sandilands, Product Manager at Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine.
Independently certified by ISO 12944:2018, Envirolastic 2500, is available to customers in European markets and offers asset owners in the region long-lasting anti-corrosive protection for up to 25 years.
The polyaspartic direct-to-metal coating also features durable UV stability and low VOC content. This makes Envirolastic 2500 an ideal coating for use on a range of infrastructure projects, including stadia, bridges and highways, large manufacturing plants, port machinery equipment, and commercial buildings.
In addition to the infrastructure sector, Envirolastic 2500 is suitable for a diverse range of applications in the mining and oil and gas industries, such as process vessels, storage tanks and biomass plants.
