AVON, OH — Maroon Group, a distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients across North America, has again been granted Silver Level recognition from EcoVadis for its EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This is the third consecutive year in which Maroon Group has received EcoVadis certification for taking a proactive role in addressing corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
Through the EcoVadis CSR assessment, Maroon Group was rated on 21 CSR indicators within Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement categories. After being evaluated on how well these CSR principals are integrated into its ISO certification and NACD Responsible Distribution practices, as well as its corporate policies and practices, Maroon Group was again received th Silver Level recognition.
EcoVadis' mission is to make sustainability performance measurable, to make transparency a scalable and efficient process for both suppliers and customers, and to facilitate continuous improvement and innovation. The methodology for rating companies is built on the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, which covers 198 spend categories and 155 countries.
