PLYMOUTH, MI — The Detroit Society for Coatings Technology announced that the theme for this year’s 45^th Annual Future Of Coatings Under Study (FOCUS) conference is “2020 Vision Into the Future!”

The FOCUS conference will take place Thursday, May 7, 2020. It will be held at The Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan, once again this year. Save the date now and make plans to join other industry professionals for the premier automotive coatings conference.

For 44 years, the FOCUS conference has provided a forum to discuss the most pressing issues affecting the automotive coatings industry. From developing technologies to optimized productivity to emerging test methods, FOCUS has been the forum to share ideas and grow networks. As technologies continue to evolve and improve, so does FOCUS.

The Detroit Society for Coatings Technology is seeking coatings experts to address the latest challenges or developments in Autonomy, Dispersibility, Sustainability, Improved processes for Two Tone, Advances in Application Technology, or discussing the Factory of the Future: Industry 4.0 and the Digital World. Interested speakers should submit an abstract of less than 500 words to dsctfocus.org. The deadline for submission is Jan. 31, 2020. Notification of acceptance of abstracts is Feb. 28, 2020. The conference program will be published on March 13, 2020. Final presentations are due April 30, 2020.
