LYNGBY, Denmark — Coatings manufacturer Hempel announced that Martin Wiese is now leading the protective and industrial business areas for the company. The appointment because effective as of Oct. 1, 2019. These two business segments deliver around half of Hempel’s total turnover, and this senior appointment is key to Hempel’s continued drive to become a €3 billion company.
Hempel’s protective and industrial business areas cover wind power, infrastructure, oil and gas, and thermal power. Wiese now has the overall responsibility for driving these businesses on a global scale.

Wiese has 20 years of experience in the coatings industry. He has held commercial positions with a global perspective based out of Denmark, France, Netherlands and the UAE. In his new position at Hempel, he will be based at the headquarters near Copenhagen, Denmark.
