CINCINNATI – Michelman announced that the company's President and CEO Steve Shifman has been elected Board Chair of the United Way of Greater Cincinnati effective June 21, 2019. Shifman has been actively volunteering at United Way since 2012, serving on numerous boards and committees.
United Way of Greater Cincinnati fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in the community. Founded in 1887, United Way Worldwide leads and mobilizes the caring power of individuals and organizations to help people improve their lives.
“I am honored with this opportunity to take my involvement in our community to the next level. I am committed to helping United Way mobilize even more support to help achieve our goal of breaking the cycle of poverty and building a more prosperous and inclusive community,” said Shifman.
Giving is one of Michelman’s core values. While directing the company’s many successes around the globe, Shifman has volunteered his time generously, not only at United Way, but at the Jewish Community Center, Cincinnati Preschool Promise, and Teach for America, to name a few. He encourages all Michelman associates to do the same and oversees the company’s Global Day of Giving that takes place in September of each year.
