BERLIN — Global industrial coatings company Beckers Group has published its 2018 Sustainability Report, giving a comprehensive picture of the company’s activities last year and showing the progress it has made.
The 2018 report particularly focuses on Beckers’ reinforced partnerships and commitment to the sustainable development of its activities. Notably, a major milestone has been set: in 2018, Beckers Group became a signatory of The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, thus reinforcing its pledge to becoming a more sustainable and transparent company. Other highlights include contributions to sustainable innovation, research initiatives, relevant data showing progress in operations, and Beckers’ vision for further steps and improvements.
Nicklas Augustsson, Global Sustainability Director at Beckers, said, “We have reached significant milestones along with our stakeholders in 2018. We have invested considerable time and effort supporting our suppliers on their path towards improved sustainable performance, and have launched a new successful range of waterborne basecoats. On top of this, we have continued with the definition of our social sustainability roadmap and further engaged locally with communities where Beckers is established.”
Beckers Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer Judith Jungmann added, “This report shows once more that we are not satisfied with the status quo at Beckers. This year again, our most dedicated sustainability ambassadors ‒ our employees ‒ have worked with our customers, suppliers and local communities on innovative solutions to implement across our value chain. We will keep the momentum in 2019 and are preparing for our next strategic milestone. Check our report if you want to know more.”
