PARIS LA DÉFENSE, France – Chemical distributor Safic-Alcan has formed a new subsidiary, Safic-Alcan Hellas, for serving the Greek market. Based in Athens, Safic-Alcan Hellas will manage warehousing locally.

To support the new office, Safic-Alcan hired its first employee, Dr. Yannis Antonopoulos, who will be responsible for sales and development. Antonopoulos will hold the position of General Manager and will initially be in charge of the performance products market in Greece (C.A.S.E., PU, rubber and plastic). Prior to his current position, Antonopoulos worked in sales and business development with local Greek distributors.
