SOUTHFIELD, MI – Mike Boss is the new leader of Dürr Systems Inc., replacing Bruno Welsch, who has moved on to Dürr’s German senior executive management team.

He is well acquainted with Dürr from his time at Ford," said Welsch, who will be responsible for the worldwide activities of Dürr´s Paint and Final Assembly Systems division in his new position as a member of the board of Dürr Systems AG.
Boss began his professional career at the Ford Motor Co. in 1988, where he held different management positions mainly in the paint area. These included Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Paint - Ontario Truck Plant, Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Body Construction - Kansas City, Paint Area Manager - Norfolk Assembly Plant, Paint Area Manager - Kansas City Assembly Plant, and Manager - Paint Production Engineering. For the last 9 years he was Chief Engineer - Global Paint Engineering.
As CEO and President, Boss will be responsible for Dürr Systems Inc.’s overall activities in the areas of paint and final assembly, application technology, and clean technology in North America.
In response to Welsch’s transfer from the United States to Germany, Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, member of the board of management of Dürr AG and CEO of Dürr Systems AG, said, "Bruno Welsch has contributed a great deal to the positive development of Dürr Systems Inc. in the last 10 years he was in this position.
