Oxea Announces Price Increases

DALLAS/MONHEIM AM RHEIN, Germany — Oxea is raising prices in North America, Mexico and South America on certain products, effective May 1, 2018, or as contracts allow.
In North America and Mexico, n-propyl acetate and n/i-butyl acetate will increase $0.05/lb. Also in North American and Mexico, n/i-butanol, 2-ethylhexanoic acid, and 2-ethylhexanol will increase $0.03/lb, and n-propanol will increase $0.02/lb.
In South America, n-propyl acetate and n/i-butyl acetate will increase $110/mt. Also in South America, n/i-butanol, 2-ethylhexanoic acid, and 2-ethylhexanol will increase $65/mt, and n-propanol will increase $45/mt.
The company also announced an increase for list and off-list prices of its industrial polyols, neopentyl glycol and trimethylolpropane. The increase varies depending on single product and will be effective from May 1, 2018, and applies to all orders shipped on or after that date as contracts allow. In North America, neopentyl glycol will increase $0.03/lb ($70/mt), and trimethylolpropane will increase $0.04/lb ($90/mt).
Oxea is also raising list and off-list prices for amines in the Americas. In North America and Latin America, n-butylamine, di-n-butylamine, and tri-n-butylamine will increase $0.04/lb ($80/mt).
