ST. LOUIS, MO — AJ Adhesives and Mid-America Packaging (MAP) have acquired Wes Adhesives Inc., an adhesive and adhesive application equipment distributor. Founded in 1981, Wes Adhesives and the Westerlund family have operated out of Carrollton, Texas, and Houston, serving the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana markets.

With the acquisition, AJ Adhesives and MAP, already serving customers in the same geographic area, anticipate continued growth in Texas. The acquisition also allows the companies to promote and sell other product lines in all of their geographic regions. At present, each company will continue to operate as it currently does, experiencing only minor changes, and the Wes Adhesives personnel will join the AJ Adhesives and MAP team.
