BOLTON, UK - A coatings expert at Sherwin-Williams has been recognized for his knowledge and experience by being named a Chartered Scientist.
The Science Council has determined that Malcolm Morris, Technical Manager at the Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings site in Bolton, UK, meets the requirements necessary to receive the title.
Chartered Scientists are described as representing "the best professional scientists working in the UK and abroad."
To meet the requirements of the council, Morris presented a portfolio of his experience and will need to re-evaluate the award each year.
Morris, who has worked in the coatings industry for more than 30 years, applied for the status through his professional membership of the Institute of Corrosion. He said, "Being named a Chartered Scientist is recognition not just of my work, but that Sherwin-Williams itself is a competent and professional organization."
