ATLANTA – Huber Engineered Materials, a division of J.M. Huber Corp., announced a global price increase for its alumina trihydrate and magnesium hydroxide products, effective Jan. 2, 2018, or as current contracts allow. Prices will increase depending on product grade and packaging.  

This increase includes all Hydral^®, Hymod^®, Martifin^®, Martinal^®, Micral^®, MoldX^®, SB and SpaceRite^® grades of alumina trihydrate and Vertex^® grades of magnesium hydroxide.

While Huber continues to focus on minimizing the inflationary impact for its comprehensive line-up of alumina trihydrate and magnesium hydroxide products, cost increases in raw material, labor, packaging, regulatory compliance and freight have necessitated this price adjustment. The increase is also a result of continued capital investments made to increase capacities in Huber's manufacturing facilities to ensure ongoing product demand is maintained.
