KINGWOOD, TX – Carbon black producer Orion Engineered Carbons has named Rodney Taylor, Ph.D., the Vice President, Innovation, Americas Region. Taylor is responsible for leading the development of carbon black products and production processes in the Americas.

Prior to joining Orion in the United States, Taylor served as Vice President, Global Process Development, at the company’s Cologne, Germany, technical center. Taylor is a 35-year veteran of carbon black research and development and is Chairman of the American Carbon Society. He previously led Columbian Chemical Co.’s Carbon Black research and development function.
