PHILADELPHIA - Axalta Coating Systems has received a supplier award for innovation for its new refinish fast-cure clearcoat technology by French car maker Renault. Axalta is the only company this year to receive an award from Renault in the Innovation category.

Adrien Schrobiltgen, Axalta’s Vice President of Refinish Systems for Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Laurent Oliveras, Axalta’s Country Business Manager of Refinish Systems for France, received the award on behalf of Axalta from Gaspar Gascon Abellan, Product Engineer Director for Renault, at ceremony in Paris.

Schrobiltgen said, “We are very honored to have been selected by Renault for this award. Axalta is a company driven by the desire to help its customers achieve their goals and that means we continually invest in developing new innovations to meet specific customer needs. We have just recently expanded our European Technology Center in Wuppertal, Germany, the home to our liquid coating research facilities where 300 professionals research and create next-generation coatings and services so that we can continue to deliver cutting-edge technology to our customers.”

Renault also gave out awards for Quality, Corporate Social Responsibility and Design at the event.
