BISHOPS STORTFORD, UK – Specialty chemicals company Cornelius, Bishops Stortford, UK, announced an organizational change in which the company has named a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Managing Director Darren Spiby has been promoted to the role of CEO to further support company growth.

Spiby will build on his success as Managing Director, a role that will be eliminated, in his new position as CEO. Spiby will report to the previous holder of the position, Neville Prior, who remains Chairman of the Board.

Spiby has significant knowledge of the business, having worked with Cornelius for 12 years. He first joined the company as a New Business Development Manager in 2004 and has since gained experience leading teams to develop new business in the health and nutrition, care products, and industrial sectors in the UK and Europe.

Cornelius is an independent European manufacturer and distributor of branded and own brand specialty chemicals, raw materials and ingredients.
