BETHESDA, MD - RadTech is headed to Austin, TX, for its Fall Member Meeting, which will take place November 2-3, 2016, at the Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown/Convention Center.
Organizers are working to line up a few guest speakers and potential tours of Austin area companies, and will send additional updates once they have them. Currently, the following meetings are planned.
Automotive/Transportation
Following up on the conference session at the SAE World Congress in Detroit and a standing-room-only session at RadTech 2016, the Automotive/Transportation Group will discuss which areas in the automotive and transportation industries UV/EB technology will play a significant role in the next few years. Vehicle exteriors, interiors, and autonomous cars will be discussed as RadTech prepares a session for the upcoming UV+EB Materials & Manufacturing Summit in California next year.
3D Printing
RadTech will continue the conversation about new materials within the world of photo polymerization additive manufacturing and 3D printing and where it can best play a role as a technology advocate and evangelist. What are the new areas where UV curable 3D printing will play a major role? Healthcare? Production parts? Participants may be a part of the conversation.
Printing + Packaging
There were several standing-room-only sessions at RadTech 2016 that focused on UV+EB curable technology for printing and packaging applications, and organizers want to keep up the momentum. Strategies to spread the word about the technology in emerging markets as well as RadTech printer's guide microsite will be discussed, as well as technical issues on the horizon.
UV LED
This dynamic group will meet to discuss current and future markets for UV LED, technical issues and ways for industry to further collaborate to drive the market for UV LED technology. Topics of discussion will include the expanding of the group to include disinfection applications for UV LED.
