LONDON - Synthomer plc and Dairen Chemical Corp. have signed an agreement for the exclusive distribution of VAE emulsion polymers to the coatings industry in the ASEAN region.

Synthomer’s Derick Whyte, Executive Vice President – Asia, commented, “With the addition of VAE emulsion to our existing VAM, acrylic emulsion and alkyd resin product lines, we are excited about the future growth prospects for our coatings and construction business in Asia. In his address at the signing, Lin Fu-Shan, President of Dairen Chemical Co. Ltd., stated, “The finalization of this agreement with our partner, Synthomer, will enable us to achieve more and continue to develop even stronger and better business opportunities in the coatings market.”

Dairen Chemical Corp. is a main subsidiary of Chang Chun Group of Taiwan and a leading manufacturer of VAM, VAE emulsion and re-dispersible powders.
