ASHLAND, VA/ABINGDON, UK – Green Biologics Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Green Biologics Ltd., a U.K. industrial biotechnology and renewable chemicals company, announced a distribution agreement with Nexeo Solutions, a Texas-based global distribution company. Nexeo Solutions will become Green Biologics’ national distributor of renewable n-butanol and acetone to U.S. customers in a number of key markets including CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers), HI&I (household, industrial and institutional cleaners), PCI (personal care intermediates) and energy chemicals.

Green Biologics is currently constructing its first commercial production facility for renewable n-butanol and acetone in Little Falls, MN, and aims to start up the plant in late 2016 with shipments to customers by the fourth quarter. Green Biologics is a new member of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and is building its new green solvents facility to meet Responsible Care™ standards.
