GELEEN, the Netherlands - Reverdia announced that Ad Smolders has joined the company as Operations Director. Smolders previously worked at DSM for 17 years in various international technology and manufacturing assignments, and most recently overseeing several operations projects.

Marcel Lubben, Reverdia’s President, said, “With his considerable experience in manufacturing and process improvement, Ad Smolders will lead Reverdia’s operations to the next stage of growth. His leadership in manufacturing excellence will further bolster our low-pH yeast technology. This will benefit both our clients out of Cassano and also our partners and licensees for future Biosuccinium™ plants.”  

Reverdia is the joint venture between Royal DSM and Roquette Frères, a global starch and starch-derivatives company. Reverdia markets and license Biosuccinium.
