HAMBURG, Germany - Krahn Chemie GmbH has acquired the distribution activities of the Dutch company Lapis Minerals & Chemicals BV (Lapis) as part of an asset deal.
The Lapis business distributes construction chemicals in the Benelux countries. The acquisition is in line with the Krahn Chemie strategy to further strengthen its core segments in Europe. The company has also recruited former Lapis manager Ferry Jacobs as a Technical Director Construction Chemicals for Krahn Chemie, which will facilitate a smooth transfer of the acquired businesses and help to expand this sector throughout Europe.
