CINCINNATI – Following an extensive nationwide search by the company’s senior leadership and board members, Pilot Chemical Co. has named Michael Scott the new company President. Pam Butcher, current President and CEO, will remain as CEO while Scott becomes fully established in his new role. Following this defined transition period, Butcher will move to a position on Pilot Chemical’s board of directors.

Scott most recently served as the Regional President for acrylics and the General Manager for organic peroxides at Arkema Inc. in Houston, where he was instrumental in the acquisition of Dow Chemical’s acrylic monomer business.

“The board and I are excited to welcome Mike to the Pilot team,” said Paul Morrisroe, Chairman of Pilot Chemical’s board of directors. “We are confident that his extensive experience in manufacturing and strategic planning will further accelerate Pilot’s growth and success in the future.”

Scott will lead corporate operations from Pilot Chemical’s headquarters in Cincinnati, and will oversee six locations and approximately 250 employees.
