ST. LOUIS, MO - Western Specialty Contractors, formerly named Western Waterproofing Co., announced the promotion of Tom Brooks, Vice President - Operations and Business Development, to the position of Sr. Vice President of Operations. Brooks has been with Western since 2012. The company also announced the promotion of Steve Genovese to Branch Manager of its Chicago Concrete Restoration Branch in Chicago.

In his new role, Brooks will oversee marketing, business development, the sealants division and an operations region within Western, as well as assist Western's Chief Operating Officer.

Genovese started his career at Western's Chicago branch as an Assistant Sales/Project Manager and has spent the past nine years in the position of Sales/Project Manager and, most recently, Assistant Manager. The branch serves customers in northern Illinois.
