KANSAS CITY, MO – Coatings manufacturer Tnemec Co. Inc. has named Cory Brown Vice President, Technical Services. In his new position, Brown will oversee the company’s staff of product development specialists, analytical laboratory and technical service technicians.

“Cory has served an important leadership role at Tnemec, where he has directed various departmental resources related to product research and development from concept to commercialization,” said Chase Bean, the company’s Executive Vice President. “With nearly 20 years in the coating industry, he offers expertise in employee training and management, technical writing, product development, operations, and competitive analysis.”

Brown is a certified coating inspector with NACE International and is active in the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). In January, Brown will be a presenter at the SSPC conference in San Antonio, TX, where he will discuss “Pull-off Adhesion Strength Testing of Lining Systems on Concrete,” which is based on a white paper he co-authored this year.

Prior to his current position, Brown served as Director of Technology Integration where he directed various departmental resources related to product research and development. His experience includes seven years as a Senior Technical Service Representative and five years as a Production Supervisor responsible for managing daily operations of three departments at Tnemec.
