An automatic gap setting feature for the RST-CPS Touch™ Cone/Plate rheometer sets the critical gap between the nose of the spindle cone and the plate of the instrument. The Automatic Spindle Recognition System utilizes a barcode on the spindle shaft to identify the spindle’s cone diameter, angle and truncation value.
