EDINBURGH, UK - Exova Group plc, a testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has opened a new laboratory in Johor, Malaysia, in response to growing demand from the oil and gas and industrials sectors.

The move will extend Exova’s geographical reach and support the expansion of its offering to customers across the growing economies of the Asia-Pacific region. The new laboratory will work closely with Exova’s existing laboratory in Singapore to offer customers a range of specialist metallurgical testing capabilities.

The existing laboratory in Singapore and the new facility in Johor will offer complementary testing services, allowing the concentration of specific expertise in each laboratory, producing efficiencies and reducing turnaround times for customers. 

The move will also give customers in the region further access to international testing standards as well as the convenience of a new location close to oil and gas and infrastructure projects. The new facility extends the company’s global reach to 143 laboratories and offices in 32 countries.
