MANCHESTER, England – Manchester-based HMG Paints Ltd. has renewed its technical partnership with Prodrive, a world leading motorsport and technology business, and will continue to supply innovative paints and coatings for the Aston Martin Racing and MINI World Rally teams.

HMG Paints has utilized its extensive lab facilities, high-spec development equipment and team of experienced color specialists to produce a plethora of bespoke, high-performance motorsport coatings.

Prodrive’s Chairman, David Richards, has been impressed with HMG’s service, saying, “Having such an experienced technical partner in HMG has allowed us to develop paints in a variety of unusual colors and finishes. We simply tell them what we are looking for, and they have a technical expert who can come up with the solution we need.”

HMG Paints and Prodrive have worked on joint projects on and off the track, seeing HMG supply a system of paints to protect and coat the factory facilities at Prodrive’s brand new headquarters in Banbury, UK.

The partnership has continued in winning fashion with Aston Martin Racing cruising to victory at the FIA Endurance World Championship (WEC) Six Hours of Silverstone in April and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Six Hours of Spa race in May.

The partnership aims to enhance the competitive edge of both racing teams by developing a range of performance-boosting products. Plans are already in place to develop a weight-reduction program that will minimize excess coatings usage alongside a heat-management coating for interior and exterior use.
