MALMÖ, Sweden - Specialty chemicals company Perstorp AB (part of Perstorp Group) announced the sale of its remaining part of shares in Polygiene AB to Pooly Holding AB. The divestment is in line with Perstorp’s strategy to focus on and expand its core specialty chemicals activities.

Introduced in 1999 as a product from Perstorp AB, a new and innovative antimicrobial technology quickly gained recognition as an effective and environmentally friendly antimicrobial technology using natural silver salt. Polygiene AB was founded in 2006 as a separate company with Perstorp AB as its principal owner with approximately 30 percent ownership.
