PLYMOUTH, MI - Resinate Materials Group has appointed Brian Chermside President of the company, taking over from current President Brian Phillips. The appointment is in addition to Chermside's current role of Chief Operating Officer. Phillips will maintain his role as Resinate’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. In his extended role, Chermside will lead Resinate’s operational and strategic activities.

“Brian came to Resinate with a wealth of experience in the specialty chemicals industry,” said Phillips. “With his guidance, we have made exciting progress building our operational and technical capabilities as a pioneer of recycled content chemistry.”

Chermside joined Resinate in 2013, after most recently serving as Corporate Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Dow Corning Corp. While at Dow Corning, he served in leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the United States, and was instrumental in spearheading business-to-business market strategies for new and existing brands, including the XIAMETER^® brand.

Chermside will continue to be located at Resinate’s Plymouth, MI, headquarters.
